Casino Beach
Deanne has been in communication with Scott Penn about the SOI. Very little has been learned, however these discussions lead to the SOI date being extended to September instead of only the 6 weeks it was originally given. Scott said Casino Beach received no project bond funding, or even visibility despite the many people who followed the directions to participate in the city bond funding input tool. It has not yet been explained why it received no attention.
We are requesting a representative to attend our next neighborhood meeting to update us and answer questions. The board plans to meet with Macy Hill to brainstorm on new ideas for how to move the project forward.
Watercress Lane Striping
We have been in contact with Phelisha Bollin from the city. They did a traffic study and determined we do not have a large enough volume of traffic to receive striping. However, we might be able to have speed cushions installed which are lowered suggested speeds in curved areas (not speed bumps). We should know more in mid March.

199 Landscaping Supplier
Where the bingo hall used to be, there is an interested business owner who hopes to buy the property. The city contacted us to evaluate the business in that location for whether we found it to be a suitable addition.
The business is an organic landscaping supply company. He sells materials (such as mulch and stone) for residential and small business owners. No processing will be occurring on site, and so smell is not to be an issue.
If the deal goes through, he has a 3 year CUP, which means that if after 3 years the business is not a good fit for the area it must be shut down.
The owner has spoken with several board members and has asked for our input. We recommended that he make the entrance along 199 look attractive in order to help elevate the look of the businessness along 199 (with the hopes that over time businesses will go in the same direction).

Goat Island Clean Up
March 28th, which aligns with the Cowtown Clean up, will be the Goat Island Cleanup.
SSNA members are needed to boat over to Goat Island to help with the clean up. Bags and gloves will be provided. All trash collected can be taken home or to the sailboat club for disposal.
Alligator Sightings Logging App
We are working on setting up a neighborhood iNaturalist account to document alligator sightings.
Next Neighborhood Meeting
Friday April 10th 5:30 pm, Sunset Park
In the same fashion of October's meeting, we will gather at Sunset Park with food, lawn chairs, and speakers.
We will be voting on 3 items:
* The addition of a fifth board member position - Blog and Social Media officer
* Dave Bodden's Dock Ordinance Changes
* Dave Bodden's Lake Closure Change Recommendations
