President Deanne Kearney

My name is Deanne Kearney and I have lived on Lake Worth for 38 years.  I am looking forward to working with, and for you by providing the framework to promote, preserve and enhance the quality of life and values in our neighborhood.  I currently work at Lockheed Martin as a Director of Advanced Development Programs (also referred to as Skunk Works).   I am retiring in a few weeks and will be able to dedicate the time to help bring our organization together and tackle the issues that I have discussed with many of you.

During my time as the Scenic Shores Neighborhood Association Vice President and I was involved in many aspects of working with the city to resolve issues in the neighborhood and preserve our recreational areas around the lake.  Some key examples of past initiatives that I have led or supported are: The Civic Club initiative to purchase the lease land, and the Lake Worth Monster Dash where I co-organized, a 5K run event to bring awareness to the recreational value of our park land and beaches.  We had a record-breaking first-time participation, and all profits were donated to the Lake Worth Alliance to support the preservation of our park land.

As far as future activities are concerned, based on discussions with several of you over the past year, a major item to address is the protection of the green space around the lake and minimizing further development activities, such as petitioning the city to designate the undeveloped land on Peninsula Club as a city park and minimizing large development on Casino Beach.

I look forward to working with you on all future activities and am very excited about this opportunity. I hope you will support me. I want your vote.

Vice President Brian Keller

My name is Brian Keller and I have lived on Love Circle since 2006.
I seek to be your vice president to assist Deanne Kearney in building community in our neighborhoods and lake. I have been the treasurer since 2007 but have learned a lot about what we are missing in the past 3 years.
I managed and installed 180 trees in Love Circle park and remain the point of contact for the tree maintenance there.
I have been engaged with TXDOT consistently since the identification of a major safety issue and establishment of barriers down the middle of the old 199 bridge. I pushed very hard to save a few large trees in the new bridge boundary of Love Circle that still stand today. I hope to continue to engage with TXDOT as the 820 interchange project begins in a few years too.
In recent months I have sought to get our association back on track and in proper compliance with the city. I believe building relationships within our neighborhood and with the other associations on the lake, is the best way to improve, protect, and secure our lake. I think any hope of working with regional initiatives must come from being a healthy, strong association.
There are many smaller projects each of our neighborhoods would like to see addressed and I want to work with all of you to make these projects happen.
I ask for your vote and want to be one of your representatives for our home.

Treasurer Tom Mast

I have been operating a boat on this lake for over 35 years as an avid water skier.  My wife and I have owned property on the lake for over 24 years and 3 years ago we moved here permanently.

I have 2 boys who are in college and a daughter who has recently graduated.  I love the lake and the people who I have met here over the years.  I am a retired aerospace engineer,  entrepreneur, and business owner.

I am interested in keeping the area thriving, while keeping it low key.  I prefer to keep it clean and eco friendly.

I feel my knowledge from my businesses would allow me to help answer critical questions when they arise.

We currently do not collect dues, but if that changes I am very knowledgeable about finances and could handle it.

I just to help make the lake the best it can be now and in the future for my children’s children.

Please come to the meetings and vote!

Secretary Adrienne Taylor

My husband and I live on Peninsula Club and we have three teens and a kindergartner. We moved here to our forever home two years ago, and recently my parents moved here as well becoming our next door neighbors.

As our family is looking forward to many decades here, I’m very interested in seeing the neighborhood association fully staffed and ready to work with the city to keep our roads safe and our neighborhood tranquil, beautiful and thriving.

Why me for Secretary?

  1. I have experience organizing member data and managing Google accounts for organizations so that all data and accounts can be easily handed off to future secretaries and presidents.
  2. I have experience running Facebook groups for organizations: managing the group settings, membership, moderating quarrels and spam, and using the newest features to promote communication.
  3. I have experience creating graphics for promotional purposes, which when done well, can be the most effective method for communicating information in today’s digital age.
  4. Taking notes at meetings is just the beginning of my skill set.
