Meeting with the Nature Center

  Attendees Jared Wood  - Manager, Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge Deanne Kearney  - SSNA President Brian Keller  - SSNA Vice President Adrienne Taylor  - SSNA Secretary, by phone Occurred At the Nature Center on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 Points of Interest *  Summary of Meeting Jared Wood, the newly appointed Manager of the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, shared with the SSNA board the mission and boundaries of the nature center, and reviewed the process and plan for acquiring additional land surrounding the Nature Center.  The SSNA board shared their ideas to connect the Nature Center to Love Circle and Casino Beach.  One suggestion is to open a second entrance to the Nature Center by way of an electronic gate if a bike/running trail were to be added to connect Love Park with the Nature Center.  We discussed wildfire concerns due to businesses adjacent to the nature center property which have had fires in addition to the hazards...
